We were recently contacted by an existing client, Burwell Print Centre, to conduct a remedial service on their emergency lighting systems.
Burwell Print Centre is dedicated to providing design, printing, and customer care experience to adults with additional needs, including Down’s syndrome, cerebral palsy, autism, and other medical and neurodevelopmental conditions. Their emergency systems must be up to date and in full compliance with regulations to enable them to continue working toward their important mission.
Prestige services the fire alarm systems at Burwell Print Centre every 6 months and conducts an annual check on emergency lights and fire extinguishers. During our scheduled service in June, we discovered an issue with the emergency lighting system during our 3-hour test.
The system in the design room failed, so our expert engineers replaced it with a brand-new LED fitting. They also replaced the battery in one of the emergency lights.
Emergency lighting systems must be capable of remaining lit for a minimum of 3 hours after a power outage. This ensures that occupants have enough time to safely exit the building without having to navigate in the dark. Regular maintenance can help identify and address any issues before they become a risk to your property.
Burwell Print Centre was very pleased with our corrective work, and their emergency lighting system was operational within a day with minimal disruption.
