WCMC, an existing customer, contacted Prestige in July looking for Evacuation Chair Training for its employees. We have conducted various other services for WCMC in Cambridge, including fire warden training, compartmentation survey, fire-stopping works, and a fire door survey.
Evacuation Chairs enable the safe evacuation of those who are mobility impaired, including those in wheelchairs, and are specifically designed to get downstairs. However, it is not enough for businesses to simply own an evacuation chair. Training your employees on how to appropriately use the chair minimises the risk to the user and enables everyone to evacuate quickly and efficiently.
We conducted a ½ day training programme for WCMC that covered a variety of topics including deployment, handling, how to instruct others to sit in the chair, and when the chairs should be used. Our hands-on approach to training, equipped with live demos, is engaging and educational to maximise its effectiveness.
All participants received a certificate upon completion of the training and were able to successfully demonstrate the use of the chair.
