Emergency Lighting
What we do
Emergency Lighting is designed to activate if the mains power is cut off in the event of a fire or if there is a mains power failure. The emergency lighting should provide sufficient light to show escape routes to enable occupants to evacuate the building safely, illuminate fire safety equipment such as call points and fire extinguishers and should stay lit for the minimum emergency duration (usually 3 hours) after a mains failure.
At Prestige, we offer a full design, supply, installation and commissioning service for Emergency Lighting, all in compliance with current legislation. We install all types of emergency lighting (maintained or non-maintained), tailored to your premises and specific requirements. We can also carry out regular testing and annual servicing of your emergency lighting to ensure it is in full working order.
Emergency lighting is part of the fire safety provision of a building and is required by law in all publicly accessible buildings as well as most business properties and in the common areas of a House in Multiple Occupancy (HMO). Therefore, it is important that your emergency lighting is serviced annually by a fully qualified engineer.
