Client Case Study: Millcam Construction, Fire Stopping

Milcam Construction in Cambridge is a new client of Prestige Fire Safety’s requesting our Fire Stopping services.

Fire Stopping helps to contain fires and prevent the spread of heat, smoke and fire to give occupants in a building time to evacuate safely.

In preparation for the works, we carried out a Compartmentation survey for Milcam in September to identify where we would need to perform the fire-stopping works.

During the fire-stopping works at Milcam’s site, we sealed the identified openings between rooms and compartments in the building with fire-stopping materials to ensure the building was fully compartmentalised in the event of a fire.

We recorded the fire-stopping works we carried out on our Onetrace software and provided Milcam with a full report of the works carried out and an IFC-accredited certification for the works.
