Remote Signalling

What we do

Installing a security or fire alarm system with monitored remote signalling ensures that your property is protected, 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Should your alarm be activated, either you, a nominated key holder or one of the emergency services will be informed immediately.

Prestige Fire Safety provide this 24-hour remote monitoring service for the remote signalling systems we install and maintain throughout the East. Our ARC (alarm receiving centre), is East Midlands Central Station. EMCS have been awarded NSI Gold for intruder and fire alarm systems, are recognised by the SSAIB and are accredited to ISO9001-2008. We were also one of the first Alarm Receiving Centres to be accredited to BS8418 for CCTV monitoring. In addition, we gained approval for monitoring LPS1020 fire systems in December 2007.

The signalling units we install range from basic digital communicators through to ultra-secure dual path systems.

Emizon IP is the ‘always on’ alarm signalling and CCTV monitoring service. Running on a customer’s existing broadband line, it continuously monitors the connections between the alarm panel and the alarm response centre across both the fixed and wireless IP communication paths, all day, every day. In short, your customers can be sure that the alarm activation will always get thorough.

BT Redcare is an alarm signalling network which is considered to be one of the most secure and reliable forms of signalling currently available. Using an existing BT line, it continuously monitors an alarm system and will pass an alarm activation immediately to EMCS. It will also respond if the phone line is damaged or even deliberately cut.

CSL DualCom are the UK’s leading provider of dual signalling systems and have products installed in over 80,000 premises including thousands of retail, small business and domestic sites. CSL invented integrated dual signalling back in 1996 and lead the way in ensuring that intruder alarm systems have the best possible chance of getting a signal from the protected premises to the alarm receiving centre.

If police response is not required a single path signalling device is sufficient. A single path signalling device is allowed for police response, but certain conditions must be written into system design proposal.

Prestige’s fully qualified fire and security engineers install your recommended alarm system and fit the communication device, either inside the alarm panel or on a separate power supply. The alarm communicator is capable of sending a coded message for a number of activations or faults.
